Job missions are basic missions dished out by organisations. Like plot quests you must declare you are claiming one. Some can be done as parties. However others must be completed solo.

For the most part the continent of Balamb is quite small, little more than what one could consider an island. Most of it is covered in mountainous terrian and whilst no doubt many things live in those mountains the main human centre of living is the town of Balamb itself. With the Garden slightly to the east. Near the Garden itself is the mythical fire cavern. Housing one of the powerful guardian forces that SEED is known for fighting alongside.

Cetra is the old home of the Cetran people. A now semi extinct sub species of the human race. As it currently stands the Cetran continent is a snowy wasteland. The main features of it being a small village at the base of Mount Galias. The remains of the Cetran Village in the Sleeping Forest. And the Northern Crater. A scar on the planet from a meteor that landed thousands of years ago.

The Galbadia continent, whilst not as advanced as other areas of Gaia is in its own right a military superpower. This is in no small part due to Galbadia's place as a military controlled autocrasy. With a paranoid leader in place. And its current uneasy affairs with Midgar. Its likely that more trouble will be coming out of this place soon.

Figaro is a forefront for technologies within the lands currently controlled by the empire. The Kingdom of Figaro is for the most part a desert Kingdom. This provides for a distinct lack of exciting scenery.

The continent famous for its advancements in airship travel, ruled by Regent Cid Lindblum is one of the more peaceful continents. Their army is not as well trained as Alexandria's or Esthar's but there has been no real need for war, Regent Cid prefers democracy over war and violence.

The Lost Continent is an area in Gaia which was literally for a time. Lost to the world. The main centre of commerce for the Lost Continent is the city of light. Contego. Lately this area of gaia has been a bed of unrest. Being home to the fabled Gateway XXVI. Its rumoured that the Remnants make their main base here.

Lunaria is a small island continent, its main features include a mountain called Mt. Ordeal. Lunaria is also known to be the resting place of an airship known as the Lunar Whale.

Like Esthar, Midgar prides itself on its technological advancements but is still behind Esthar in that sense. Using a certain process Midgar uses mako to power the continent, this has angered many citiziens causing resistance groups to spring up to rebel against the company Shinra.

Mysidia's land is mainly forest and mountains, one side is a forest area and the other mountains. There is only one real town to note which is Mysidia. This is where mages are schooled in magic, at the centre of town lies the tower of Mysidia. At the top of the tower lies the secret to the ultimate spell.

Spira one of the larger continents holds strong to the teachings of Yevon, ruled by Maester Mika along with Maester Seymour. The being known as Sin tends to stick around Spira more than the other continents, the reason why is unknown.

The Wasteland is an alternate version of Gaia that can only be accessed by using Gateway V. The Wasteland is a nightmarish vision of what would happen to Gaia should the blight ever be allowed to spread globally. Seas have dried up into vast deserts. Cities left in ruins. The only things living here are monsters warped by the blight. This is a place where not even in sleep can you let your guard down.
