Experience
Experience on Journey’s End is something you make whilst roleplaying. Experience is used to purchase new abilities/ magic or upgrade your existing ones. Experience is usually gained at a rate determined by your survival ratio
Combat
Combat is something that is controlled by the role-players within the thread, however it cannot be over used or even used to ridiculous notions. A new player cannot face down dozens of monsters by themselves. Combat can be player initiated, 3 times within a single thread. Sometimes however combat can be iniated by an Admin or Mod who steps into a thread. This is known as boss combat.
Boss Combat
Boss monsters are controlled by the admins and or mods and will be far harder to defeat than the average monster. Boss monster encounters usually happen in threads with large numbers of posts, major events, or where the admins think a player is doing particularly well. Winning a boss battle will result in additional experience awards, or even rare items. Boss combat is handled in the same manner as player vs. player combat.
Common Sense
Final Fantasy: Journey’s End will run on a tough but fair system of common sense. If something happens that you know WILL inevitably cause a negative thing to happen to your character do not moan about it. The best example of this would probably be. A female character in the roleplay gets pregnant, yet she still persists in running about willy nilly on her own in PVP combat. Her opponent stabs her, or punches her in the stomach. Something that would result in the miscarriage of the child.
Moaning about this will not change it. If that happens, then the woman WILL miscarry the child. Most of the time we will rely on you to use your own common sense to work out what is allowed and what isn’t. However if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask.
