----Character Biography----[/u][/i]
Name: Alastor Valgrada "The Reaper"
Race E-Human
Age: Legends of The Reaper reach as far back into the past as several hundred years. Alastor's actual age, however, is a closely kept secret by the man. He appears to be in his late thirties, at the very least.
Gender: Male
Profession: Since the destruction of the Key, Alastor has once again wandered the lands as a mercenary
Class Knight
Species Skill Jump Start
Origin: Freak of Nature
Organisation: Summoner's Guardian (former)
Alignment: Usually working entirely on whims, Alastor can only truly claim to be aligned with conflict and war.
Home Continent: Where Alastor was born is a well-kept secret by the Reaper. He currently resides in a small shack on the Veldt.
Personality: Quiet and usually sticking towards the shadows of any particular group, Alastor most often appears to be deep in thought. Every now and again he'll chuckle lightly to himself or mumble an incoherent string of words, but overall he's a very silent person, aside from when he thinks people need to hear his "wisdom".
Not the smartest of the bunch, the Reaper will often resort to brute force over solving a riddle or talking things out with an enemy. He rarely wavers in his decision-making and remains committed to most of the decisions he makes.
Alastor is, if nothing else, steadfastly loyal to his allies. He believes that there is no better feeling than fighting and dying alongside your friends in battle- though he seems to be a bit lacking in the friend department due to his particular line of work. Regardless, allies are all generally treated as more important than he- and thus he reacts accordingly.
Graveryl, however, is another issue entirely. Loudmouthed, opinionated and, quite literally, a bitch- the sentient Scythe is an object of much discomfort in Alastor's life. She often attempts to pressure the man into doing whatever it is that she wants- which usually involves as much violence as physically possible. People who have had the misfortune to speak with the Reaper's weapon will usually point out how insanely cocky she is- to the point of initiating barfights, skirmishes and even total war on one occasion with her wild boasts of strength and power.
While Graveryl may generally be a pain in his hide, she is rather helpful to the Reaper at points, and generally steers him away from any stupid decision he is about to make. She has never willingly sent the Reaper into any situation she believed he could not handle.
Appearance:Alastor is tall, pale skinned and dark haired. He wears a black cowl wherever he goes, usually keeping the hood up to obscure his features. In battle, he'll generally remove the hood, revealing chin-length black hair, slate gray eyes and a rather menacing smile. Underneath the cloak, Alastor wears darkly colored slacks, a deep blue shirt and black combat boots. A deep crimson tattoo covers his left shoulder as well.
Equipment: Graveryl: Alastor's weapon of choice (Scythe) and a generally a bitch to deal with. Graveryl's blade is a deep, sapphire blue color and unusually long and sharp. Her haft is crafted of an ebon-colored metal with silver etchings along the side written in an indecipherable language. Special properties include being indestructible, being sentient and having the ability to drain a foe's very life essence.
Various Useful Items: Tinder, matches, journal, etc. You name it, and it's survival related, it's probably within his pack.
Combat Abilities:
Level 1 Slots:
-Blighted Blood I: When the Solomons Blight entered his blood stream it bonded with his red and white blood cells. Allowing Alastor complete control over his blood stream. Whether it be inside. Or outside his own body. As a result Alastor is able to attack with his blood, whilst the white blood cells llow for an enhanced immune system. Making him immune to the conventional status effects. Other than those stolen with his scythe.
- Siphon Scythe: {Passive/Supplemental}
Description: Upon every strike with Graveryl, Alastor absorbs a portion of his foe's life force- replenishing his own health as they lose theirs.
Effect: Alastor restores .5 health for every successful attack made with Graveryl. This effect cannot be dispelled as it is an integral part of Graveryl. This effect is not applied when Graveryl is not in use. This effect is NOT treated as extra damage, nor is it treated as a spell or spell-like effect (meaning silence doesn't negate it).
-Aggravated Damage: {Supplemental/Passive/Offensive}
Description: Graveryl, being a magical weapon, inflicts wounds that are abnormal and teeming with dark energy. Should one be damaged by Graveryl, the wounds don't heal as quickly as they normally would. Alastor is also an expert fighter and knows exactly where to strike with any weapon he may be holding.
Effect: Every time Alastor deals physical damage, it cannot be healed for one turn. Meaning, if you were attacked on turn #1, you'd have to wait through turn #2 and then finally heal on turn #3. This ability works against CAs as well as spells.
-Playtime: {Altering}
Description: There are times in a man's life when he undergoes certain changes that he must cope with. Usually this means a Mid-Life crisis, Empty Nest Syndrome or any number of other things. For Alastor- it means that he physically becomes a scythe while his counterpart, Graveryl, becomes a person in his stead- his Wielder, as she states it.
Effect: When Alastor and Graveryl switch bodies once Playtime goes into effect, drastic physical and mental changes take place- casting off any buff that was previously on Alastor. Also- any attacks that were usable by Alastor/Only accessible due to Graveryl being a weapon are no longer in effect. Any class or racial abilities bestowed upon a character for having such are also no longer in effect, due to the fact that Alastor and Graveryl are two entirely different "people". In return, however, Graveryl has full health and her attacks deal an additional .5 damage on hit. As of this moment, however, Graveryl is unused to her new body and cannot use it in such a manner as she would so please- and, as a result, she cannot use any of her latent abilities.
Graveryl has 4 health and is resistant to any dark magic used against her. Any damage sustained in either form remains active until otherwise cured. This technique can only be used for five turns when in battle and roughly ten minutes outside of battle. After the turn/minute count is up, Graveryl and Alastor return to their normal states, for better or for worse. Any buffs that were on Graveryl dissipate into nothingness when she reverts back to her scythe-state.
Level 2 Slots:
-Drain Scythe: {Passive/Supplemental}
Description: Graveryl is a magical weapon designed specifically to defeat any foe her Wielder may face.
Effect: Whenever Alastor hits someone with Graveryl, he may steal a status buff from one of his foes, meaning if they have Protect cast on them, Alastor takes said ability for his own for the rest of the fight and removes it from the other player. Alastor may only steal one buff this way. The effects of the buff are added onto the attack count required to take said buff, meaning that should Alastor steal protect from someone, they would receive the .5 damage reduction until he stole it; meaning that the next time he attacked, they would take full damage. This also works with CAs that bestow said protection, unless said CA is passive and has to do directly with your character.
Also, Alastor can choose to "Doom" his opponents with his attacks, should he not require the buff or should the enemy have none. This effect is up to the admin, as the spell itself states, and it pierces any resistance to the ability should the status be inflicted.
-Weeping Wounds Style: {Supplemental/Passive/Offensive}
Description: One could argue that a trained killer who has spent years honing his craft has more intimate knowledge of the human body than that of a surgeon's. While it is unknown exactly how long Alastor has been doing what he does best, it's plainly obvious that he knows how to hurt someone so deeply that they cannot heal the wounds for several moments, regardless of the means they use to do so. Having Graveryl around only adds to that fact- making his blows more deadly than ever.
Effect: Weeping Wounds Style allows Alastor to deal damage that cannot be healed for 4 personal posts in combat.
-Blighted Blood II: Alastors evolution is slightly less noticable than others. But none the less still extremely powerful. Using his blighted blood. If even a drop of his blood enters into another body. Be it NPC, or player character. A profound reaction will occur. In NPCs this effect is immediate. Alastor is able to control this character like a puppet so long as he is within a 50ft radius. If this occurs with another player character. Alastor must first overwealm their will before taking control. This will result in a usual battle count. If Alastors count is higher. He wins control.
Level 3 Slots:
-Reaper's Scythe: {Passive/Supplemental}
Description: Alastor has mastered at least one aspect of Graveryl's latent abilities, allowing him to manipulate them in more innovative and better ways than before.
Effect: If Alastor's foe is injured and he himself takes damage at any point during a battle, he may choose to auto-drain .25 health from his foes each turn. This ability can only be used to steal a total of 1 health and cannot kill his foe. However, the ability may be used against multiple foes, provided Alastor has a wound on his person and the other attacking characters have wounds as well.
Also, should the Doom status be inflicted on his opponent for whatever reason, Alastor can reduce the count of the Doom Timer by 1 every other turn in return for his dodge, meaning that the next attack against Alastor would be treated as an Auto-Hit.
-Blighted Blood III: Alastor's control over his blood has increased to an even greater level. Now his control over his blood is so great that he can teporarily extract the iron in his blood to form a protective layer on his skin. This iron skin, effectively makes Alastor a walking jugernaught when activated. During activation time. Alastor will take no damage from slashing based melee weapons, and only half damage from guns and blunt force based attacks. Magic will deal normal damage. Sttate can only be held for 3 turns. Uses 2 times per battle. Outside of battle 4 uses.

History: All claims to Alastor's true history and heritage have been lost for some time now. All that remains are rumors and heresay stories about the Reaper. Some say he's a deranged mental asylum escapee, quenching his bloodlust on any battleground he can find. Others say he's immortal- a man as ancient as battle itself. Still others argue that he's not a man at all- yet is actually the physical embodiment of death who appears only during times of war.
Whether or not any of these claims are true have as yet to be proven- but claims of sighting of the Reaper have traversed many centuries. Alastor himself doesn't pay any attention to these rumors, nor does he comment on them. Bits of his past, however, have been pieced together by some- though, overall it's simply just contrived guesses and vague ideas that make up his "history" as the world knows it.
According to legend, Alastor was once a simple soldier in a mercenary group. His skill with the scythe was unsurpassed, even in his early age (though, to be honest, very few chose the scythe as their weapon of choice) and he quickly rose through the ranks of his outfit, eventually succeeding his commanding officer. His rival bandmates eventually grew jealous of him and murdered his family, whom he was raising money for in said mercenary group so they could live a quiet life in the mountains. Despite discovering who these murderers were amongst his allies, Alastor let the foul men live.
Having only the Mercenary outfit left and a few friends within said group, Alastor lead the troupe into battle after battle, almost always causing the side that had his mercenaries on it to win whatever war they were taking part in. One by one, Alastor's friends fell to the blades of his enemies, eventually only leaving himself and a few other members of the group. However, despite their depleted ranks, Alastor still lead the men into battle. After one fateful day, Alastor was terribly wounded and left for dead on a battlefield. Binding his wounds, Alastor still knew he would die from his injuries, and simply wished to remove himself from the battleground so he could die in a quiet, secluded place.
Finding himself within a destroyed temple, Alastor lay against what appeared to be an ancient crypt. Upon letting his head fall on the cold marble of the tomb, a voice rang out in his head, offering new life, revenge against those who wronged him and killed those dear to him and unspeakable power at his fingertips. Not wanting to die just yet, Alastor agreed to the terms, upon which he was bound to his trademark weapon, Graveryl. From there, he continued doing what he had been for years prior, taking part in as many wars as possible and slaying men. Only now, he seemed to relish the challenge rather than simply treating it as work.
Just recall, most of this is heresay lashed together from various different sources, none of which could be deemed credible by any means.
