Lenne ever had any rebellious side, it was probably overshadowed by Shuyin before anyone had a chance to notice. Without Shuyin's black-or-white way of thinking, Lenne wouldn't have appeared as caring and gentle person. They might be opposites at first glance, but they're also similar in many ways.
Lenne was a kindhearted, generous, softspoken, glasshearted, and very much intelligent but what ticks her off back then was the Bevelle army and she still mad about that, and she wanted to make sure that she wanted to soothe Shuyin before he gets anything worse. She is kind, caring, gentle, loving, confident, helpful, intelligent, loyal, sophisticated, and strong. She is also scolds Shuyin as well so he could do what the right thing.
Lenne ever wanted was some peace and quiet, yet the era she lived in forbade their one wish from happening. "Life is never perfect" while Lenne accepted said fact with grace and resolve. She would always tried to stop Shuyin from making the wrong choices.

History:
Lenne was a famous singer-summoner from Zanarkand during the age of the Machina War, and Shuyin's lover. She was forced to the front lines to fight along with the other summoners in the city.
Lenne had the misfortune to live in an age of turmoil, which indirectly caused the many tragedies that took place. As a result, all we know about Lenne is her heritage as a summoner, her fame as Zanarkand's most treasured songstress and her romantic bond with a certain Blitzball star of her time. She might only be 19 years old, but she was every bit the mature woman. As far as speculation goes, Lenne was perceived as a soft-spoken person in general until a devastating war brought out her will of steel hidden within.
Lenne's dual career—songstress and summoner—is a defining characteristic of her role in FFX universe. While her songs entertained Spira's people at a time of peace, her summons were powerful weapons in an era of turmoil. In other words, Lenne was constantly expected to offer both spiritual and physical support to Spira in her short life. It is really something, then, for Lenne be portrayed as one of Final Fantasy's most gentle and understanding characters: not many people can react so well to extreme pressure, much less a 19-year-old by modern day standard.
Both Shuyin and Lenne were the idol of their time—people of Spira must have found as much excitement in Shuyin's Blitzball as Lenne's music comforted them. While not expressed explicitly, their love was likely a publicly celebrated affair. Otherwise, a commoner like Maechen back then wouldn't have known so much about the history behind their tragic end without seeing it with his own eyes.
Having a similar social status is crucial to any relationship that seeks long-term stability. Two people don't necessarily have to start from the same ground, but it's important that they walk towards a similar destination of mind, on which materialistic and spiritual needs inflict equally significant impact. With more than enough fame rolling under their sleeves, all Shuyin and Lenne ever wanted was some peace and quiet, yet the era they lived in forbade their one wish from happening. "Life is never perfect"—while Lenne accepted said fact with grace and resolve, Shuyin refused to look at reality and took bold actions to prevent his own dream from shattering. We can't say Lenne's decision was better than Shuyin's, nor can we say Lenne was a more pessmistic person. In fact, it must have taken more than courage on Lenne's part when she cheerfully stepped onto the battlefield of no return.
Shuyin didn't want Lenne to sacrifice herself for Spira, thus leading to his crazy idea that destroying the world would solve all problems. However, he had stopped running into extremes as soon as Lenne told him to. One can say it's the power of love, but I believe it to be more basic than that: Shuyin respected the will of a person he most admires, otherwise he'd have let his possessive nature take over long ago. His love for Lenne had always been of the purest form and Lenne.
Shuyin would attempt using Bevelle's machina weapon, Vegnagun, to defeat Bevelle and save her life. However, she was unwilling to allow him to take the lives of many others for her sake and asked him to stop just as he was about to make of use the behemoth machina. He consented to her request, but the two were promptly gunned down by Bevelle soldiers. Upon her death, her spirit was somehow crystallized into the Songstress Dressphere, which contains her memories.

Shuyin had come to the concert, and he had wanted to hear Lenne sing her song since she had a dual role as summoner and famous songstress. She hadn't come out the back room yet she had to have time to prepare herself. She had started to sing a song that she had wanted to sing to everyone.

"I am right here they haven't caught me do you want to kill innocents?" Lenne asked. Shuyin had stopped, and had jumped down because he had wanted to hug Lenne. Then the soldiers had came. She had cried in front of Shuyin, and they had both known that this was the end of their lives, and they had both got shot.
Shuyin had made Yuna collapsed. Shuyin playing the organ in
Vegnagun and a weapon was activated. Lenne suddenly appeared at the scene. "You must stop! That's enough." Lenne said. Soldiers surrounded Shuyin and Lenne. Den of Woe cave with images of soldiers and Lenne around Yuna. Suddenly, Lenne came out of Yuna's body. Shuyin was shocked to see his lover there, beside Yuna.
"Lenne?" Shuyin had asked. Lenne had held Shuyin's hand. Shuyin had known that was Lenne. "Lenne." Shuyin said. Lenne had still have a hold on Shuyin's hand. "Hi there." Lenne said. Shuyin couldn't get over that Lenne was still there, and he had always loved her. "A thousand years, and this moment is all we get?" Shuyin asked. Lenne had thought for a while, and she had come up with an answer. "This moment's enough. I don't need anything else. Just knowing how you feel is enough. Shuyin, let's end this. Let's go home." Lenne said. Shuyin had wondered if they could, so he had to ask. "Can we?" Shuyin asked. Lenne placed both hands on Shuyin's shoulders. " That was all a thousand years ago. We've come too far to look back now. Rest, Shuyin. Rest with me." Lenne said. Shuyin and Lenne hug each other. "Let's go. I have a new song for you." Lenne said. Lenne had looked at Yuna. "Thank you." Lenne said. Lenne and Shuyin disappeared in happiness.
